  11. After I installed the 1.4 flash rom upgrade, the rumors were correct --
  12. mostly 26k-28k connects. I didn't even mind sacrificing the "no dialing sound" 
  13. bug in Win95 (this happens when you use the win95 slip/ppp dialer).

  15. The most recent BUG I found, however is with my modem games. The modem
  16. connects at 28.8 (connecting to a Practical Periperals 28.8) but it loses
  17. its connection. I've never had a successful connection at 28.8. This NEVER 
  18. happened when I had v. 1.2. (I was successful playing the game when I connected at 19200, however)

  20. Here's my dilemma: I need to downgrade to v1.2, but the software doesn't
  21. seem to let me downgrade. ARGH! Is there a way to downgrade the modem?

  23. Here are the games and the setting I tried the Cardinal with, which used
  24. to work under v.1.2:

  26. Command and Conquer
  27. Warcraft 2

  29. (for both of these games, I use the init string \N0&K0%C0 to turn off 
  30. compression and error correction (required) -- this worked in 1.2 but 
  31. doesn't in 1.4.)
